Full Stack Engineer

Context and project

The position sits within an IT services organisation for the public sector. The role involves designing, developing and maintaining software solutions for applications in the health sector, in close collaboration with business stakeholders.

The project focuses on web components that manage patient referral prescriptions, a shared health data platform, and other healthcare applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Java, Angular and related technologies.
• Work with cross-functional teams to define, design and deliver new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Contribute to code quality, code organisation and automation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers.
• Follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
• Write and run unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
• Monitor industry trends and propose relevant new technologies to the team.

Profile

Experience

• Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer.
• Working knowledge of AI topics: EU AI Act, LLMs, harnesses, security and confidentiality.

Required technical skills

• Front-end: Angular, TypeScript, CSS/SCSS, Vue.js
• Back-end: Java, Spring Boot (4.x), Spring Security, Artemis, Spring Data JPA (Jakarta), Flyway, QueryDSL
• Testing: JUnit 6, AssertJ, Mockito
• Databases: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch
• AI: prompt engineering, agents, skills, MCP

Nice to have

• Tools: Docker, Tomcat, Nginx, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GHCP
• Spring Boot applications built on hexagonal architecture
• Workloads deployed on Kubernetes (OpenShift)
• CI/CD and containerisation practices
• Application development for sectors such as healthcare, environmental conservation or public safety
