Salary: €65,000-€80,000

An established satellite communications manufacturer on Lake Constance is growing its network management software team from three engineers to four. Its satellite modems and network systems are used in defence, air traffic control, and government networks worldwide.

The software you build is what operators use to configure, monitor, and control every modem in those networks. This is a genuine full-stack role, split roughly 50/50 between the web front end and the Java back end. You’ll work on both the modem’s own web interface and the central network management system that manages entire satellite networks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the web interface of the company’s satellite modems
• Design and build new features for the existing network management system
• Front-end development in JavaScript and React
• Back-end development in Java within a Cisco NSO application
• Work with XML and XSLT across the interface and management layers
• Work in an agile team spanning hardware, embedded software, and application software

Skills Required

• Web development experience in JavaScript
• Object-oriented development in Java
• Network management background, including SNMP and NETCONF
• XML and XSLT
• EU Citizenship

Strong Differentiators

• Cisco NSO, YANG, or Tail-f experience
• Linux scripting and build environments
• A telecoms or network equipment industry background
