Full Stack Engineer – Digital Platform (3–6 Month Contract)

Join a dynamic project to transform a sophisticated digital platform from prototype to a robust, scalable production solution. This role is ideal for a technically skilled full stack engineer with a strong foundation in both frontend and backend development, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex challenges. You will play a key part in building secure, scalable systems, integrating AI-driven features, and ensuring compliance with UK GDPR. The project is based in Glasgow, with in-person meetings twice a week, and offers flexibility in contract or employment arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using React and TypeScript
• Design and implement modern backend systems, including database architecture and cloud infrastructure
• Integrate authentication, role-based permissions, and third-party APIs
• Implement AI functionality and automation features as specified
• Ensure data security and compliance with UK GDPR regulations
• Conduct thorough testing and participate in deployment processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and contribute technical solutions
• Attend in-person meetings in Glasgow approximately twice per week

Skills And Requirements

• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern backend frameworks
• Experience with database design and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure application development
• Familiarity with API integration and third-party service connectivity
• Knowledge of AI technologies and automation tools is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and contribute ideas to product development
• Understanding of UK GDPR and best practices for data security
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Availability for in-person meetings in or around Glasgow
• Initial commitment of 3–6 months, with potential for follow-up work
