Full Stack Engineer - Internal Systems

TaloTrace is an AI-powered QA platform that autonomously tests web and mobile applications, discovers issues, and delivers evidence-backed findings your engineering team can act on immediately.

Unlike traditional automation tools that stop at pass or fail, TaloTrace provides a complete Trace for every issue: recorded video, logs, reproduction steps, severity, and supporting evidence.

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to build the product and the internal software that help run and scale the company.

This is a hands-on engineering role. You will write production code across the frontend, the backend and the cloud, for the TaloTrace product and for internal systems used by Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance, Operations, Engineering and Product.

You will not simply configure low-code tools or maintain business applications. We are looking for someone with strong software engineering fundamentals who can design, build, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain production-quality solutions.

The role is particularly suited to an engineer who enjoys building things from scratch, ships quickly and improves in small steps, and gets a lot out of AI coding tools while keeping the code they produce correct and reviewable.

Job Description

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain web applications, backend services, APIs, internal tools, integrations and dashboards, in code.
• Work across web frameworks such as Next.js, a Python backend, Firebase, and GCP.
• Build backend services and APIs (Python, for example FastAPI), including asynchronous jobs that report their status and return their results through the API.
• Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex or similar) every day: direct them, review what they produce, and keep quality high. Using a coding agent heavily is expected; handing work over without checking it is not.
• Ship the highest-value slice fast, then improve it in small loops.
• Improve testability, debuggability, and automation of what you and the team build.
• Identify opportunities where software can eliminate repetitive work, reduce errors, improve visibility, or make business processes significantly more efficient.
• Work with teams across the company to understand the underlying problem and translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Build reliable integrations between SaaS platforms, APIs, databases, internal services, and other systems.
• Design systems with appropriate consideration for security, authentication, permissions, data integrity, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and follow sound software engineering practices.
• Monitor systems, investigate failures, handle edge cases, and continuously improve reliability.
• Maintain documentation for important systems, integrations, architecture, dependencies, and operational processes.

The goal is not to automate everything. The goal is to use good software engineering to remove unnecessary work, simplify how the company operates, and build systems that allow the business to scale.

Examples of Projects

You may work on projects such as:

• Build a feature in the TaloTrace product end to end: the screen, the API behind it, the data model and the tests.
• Build internal applications for recruitment, employee management, approvals, and operational workflows.
• Build a lead-to-customer system connecting lead generation, CRM, enrichment, outreach, qualification, and reporting.
• Build leadership dashboards that combine information from multiple systems into a single operational view.
• Build internal engineering and product tools that improve development, testing, deployment, or operational workflows.
• Build internal APIs or services that become shared infrastructure for different teams within the company.
• Replace a manual process that consumes 20 hours per week with a reliable software system requiring minimal human intervention.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an engineer first.

You do not need to be a project manager, business analyst, RevOps specialist, or automation-platform expert.

You should be comfortable taking a vague problem, understanding what is actually needed, designing a solution, writing the code, integrating the necessary systems, deploying it, and making sure it continues to work reliably.

Must have

• Strong software engineering fundamentals: data structures, APIs, data modelling and system design.
• Strong programming ability in Python and in at least one modern web framework such as Next.js or React.
• Experience building and running backend services and REST APIs, with authentication, webhooks and third-party integrations.
• Strong understanding of databases and data modelling (relational or Firestore-style document stores).
• Experience with Git, automated testing, debugging, deployment and production systems.
• Familiarity with a cloud platform; GCP and Firebase preferred.
• Iteration speed: you ship a working first version quickly and improve it in small loops.
• You get a lot out of AI coding tools and your output holds up to review. You check your results before you report them, and you say when something did not work.
• Able to get productive quickly in a messy codebase and resolve ambiguity without escalating every question upward.
• Able to explain what you built and why in a clear, practical way, to technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI agents, LLM-powered features or multi-step AI workflows with appropriate human oversight.
• Familiarity with automation platforms such as n8n, Make, or Zapier. This is a plus, never a substitute for writing code.
• Experience with platforms such as HubSpot, Microsoft 365, CRM, ERP, HR, or finance systems.
• Been an early engineer at a startup. You know what a first version looks like.

Years of Experience

2 to 8 years of relevant experience in software engineering, backend engineering, full-stack engineering, or a related technical role.
