DBS is hiring a deeply technical, hands-on engineering leader to drive key wealth management initiatives and investment journeys. This role is suited to a strong full stack engineer who can own multiple workstreams end to end, lead one or more engineering squads, and stay close to architecture, design, and implementation. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Strategic Technical Leadership: Define and execute the multi-year technology strategy for wealth management channels, ensuring alignment with global business objectives and digital transformation goals.
• Engineering Excellence: Oversee the architecture and delivery of scalable, resilient, and secure wealth management platforms. Set and enforce high-bar engineering standards across multiple squads.
• Platform Modernization: Drive the evolution of our full-stack architecture (Java, ReactJS, Python, Go) and cloud-native initiatives, championing microservices, event-driven systems, and micro-frontend patterns.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Product, Business, and Infrastructure leadership to transform complex wealth management business requirements into innovative, robust technical solutions.
• People & Culture: Lead, coach, and grow high-performing engineering teams. Cultivate a culture of technical rigor, continuous improvement, and adoption of emerging technologies (including AI-assisted development).
• Innovation & Governance: Evaluate and adopt modern engineering frameworks and tools to improve developer productivity, system quality, and time-to-market while ensuring strict adherence to enterprise security and risk governance. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Proven Track Record: Extensive experience (15+ years) in leading large-scale, high-impact engineering organizations within the financial services sector, specifically in Wealth Management or Investment Banking.
• Technical Depth: Deep expertise in full-stack engineering, distributed systems, and API-first designs. Strong architectural fluency in Java, ReactJS, and experience with mobile stack technologies.
• Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of Wealth Management products (Bonds, Equities, FX, Structured Products, Funds, Digital Assets) and advisory platforms (Portfolio Construction, Rebalancing, Risk Management).
• Leadership Presence: Demonstrated ability to manage complex streams of work, influence across departments, and communicate effectively with senior business stakeholders.
• System Design: Experience in building and maintaining complex web portals using micro front-ends and microservices based architecture
• Strategic Vision: Ability to balance immediate delivery needs with long-term platform health and innovation.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Remark: Based on the hiring platform’s requirement, the posted salary range is for reference only. The actual salary offered will be based on role, internal & market benchmark, etc.
