HSSE Solutions is a London-based compliance and energy-efficiency company. We keep UK homes and buildings safe and legal for landlords, letting agents, housing associations and main contractors: gas and electrical safety certificates, fire risk assessments, EPCs, remedial works and energy upgrades. We hold ISO 9001 and 14001, TrustMark, MCS and SSIP accreditation. Our Lahore office runs our UK operations and six customer-facing websites, and we promote from within.

The role

You'll be our technical owner. We run six customer-facing websites, internal web tools and booking flows, and we're building mobile and CRM tooling. You'll decide how things are built, ship new features, keep everything fast and secure, and raise the visual standard so every screen feels like a premium product, not a template. You'll report to our Operations lead and work directly with the UK team – your work goes live and gets used every day.

What you'll do

• Own our websites (WordPress and Next.js): hosting, DNS, SSL, backups, forms, tracking and lead capture – with Core Web Vitals green and Lighthouse 90+
• Build full stack apps in Next.js, React, TypeScript and Node.js (Express) – or Python (FastAPI) where it fits
• Design data in PostgreSQL (and MongoDB) with Drizzle or Prisma; write clean, secure REST or GraphQL APIs
• Integrate Stripe, OAuth2/JWT, OpenAI, booking, email/SMS and CRM tools
• Build cross-platform apps in React Native (Expo), sharing types and logic with the web
• Deploy on Vercel, cPanel, AWS EC2 and Docker; run CI/CD, monitoring and incident fixes
• Turn Figma designs or rough briefs into pixel-accurate, accessible, responsive interfaces, and keep one design system across web and mobile

What you must have

• 3+ years building production apps with React and TypeScript, including 2+ years with Next.js (App Router, server components, SSR/ISR)
• Solid Node.js back-end experience: REST APIs, auth, validation, error handling
• PostgreSQL design plus an ORM (Drizzle or Prisma)
• Shipped integrations for payments (Stripe), authentication (OAuth2/JWT) and at least one third-party API
• Strong CSS/Tailwind, responsive layouts and accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA)
• WordPress maintenance and customisation, hosting and cPanel
• Deployment on Vercel plus AWS EC2 or Docker; Git and CI/CD
• At least 3 live projects you can show and explain
• Ownership, honest estimates, a designer's eye, and clear written and spoken English

Nice to have

• React Native apps shipped to the App Store and Google Play
• LLM/OpenAI integrations in production; Python/FastAPI
• Motion (Framer Motion, GSAP), Figma; testing (Vitest, Playwright); Sentry/PostHog/GA4
• SEO, schema markup and conversion optimisation; headless CMS; AppSheet or CRM integrations
