Full-Stack Software Engineer — Sherpa Solusi

About the role

You will be a full-stack engineer. Your primary mission for the first 6–12 months is to work directly with the technical founder to extract reusable modules from the existing codebase (photo pipeline, face recognition, payments, user/identity, event management, notification, etc.), re-architect those modules to be deployed independently in new ventures without affecting IP retained by the founder, and build a new venture product on top of it — club management, league operations, member experience, schedules, match results, media, and payments. You will own the full stack: backend services, API, data, frontend (web and possibly mobile-web), deployment, and observability. You will make pragmatic architectural decisions — shipping something that scales matters more than perfect whiteboard designs. This is not a role where you receive tickets from a PM. There is no PM. You will shape what gets built and how it gets built.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with technical founder to extract reusable modules from existing codebase
• Re-architect modules to be deployed independently in new ventures
• Build new venture product: club management, league operations, member experience, schedules, match results, media, payments
• Own full stack: backend services, API, data, frontend (web and mobile-web), deployment, observability
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions focused on shipping and scaling
• Determine what needs to be done next, prioritise it, and execute
• Read and refactor other people's codebases thoughtfully

About you

• You have shipped full-stack production systems end-to-end and can demonstrate work actually used by people
• You are comfortable with modern stack: backend (Node/Python/Go or similar), relational database, frontend framework (React/Next or similar), cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), and CI/CD
• You have experience or are comfortable learning: payment integration, third-party APIs, image/media pipeline, and ML model integration (using face recognition models, not training from scratch)
• You can read other people's codebases, understand their intent, and refactor wisely rather than rewrite because it is not your style
• You are self-directed. You determine what needs to be done next, sequence it, and execute. You ask sharp questions when needed and keep moving when you do not need to
• You care about craft but ship pragmatically — you know when "good enough to learn" is better than "perfect next quarter"
