Full Stack Engineer – Systems Integration & Workflow Modernization

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer with deep systems integration expertise to help design and build next-generation workflow, triage, and decision-support capabilities within a large-scale platform modernization initiative. This is a greenfield development opportunity where the selected engineer will create new capabilities from the ground up while integrating with existing data, analytics, catalog, case management, and legacy enterprise systems. The role requires an engineer who can own features end-to-end across the full technology stack while navigating complex integrations, ambiguity, and evolving business requirements. The environment emphasizes modern engineering practices, cloud-native development, AI-assisted tooling, and incremental modernization through a multi-year migration strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development

• Design and build new workflow, triage, assignment, disposition, and handoff capabilities from scratch.
• Develop analyst-facing applications and user experiences using modern front-end technologies.
• Build scalable APIs and backend services that support decisioning and workflow processes.
• Own features end-to-end across the full stack, from UI through application services and data layers.
• Deliver production-grade software with strong emphasis on testing, observability, security, accessibility, and maintainability.

Systems Integration

• Design and implement integrations with data platforms, query systems, metadata catalogs, case management tools, and legacy enterprise applications.
• Define and maintain integration contracts, APIs, and interfaces across multiple systems.
• Reverse engineer existing platforms and analyze dependencies to support migration and modernization efforts.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into documented technical designs and buildable integration solutions.
• Work with heterogeneous data sources, event-driven architectures, messaging patterns, and third-party systems.

AI & Modern Engineering

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools, code generation platforms, and agentic accelerators to improve engineering productivity and quality.

• Support development of AI-powered capabilities including:

• Alert prioritization

• Risk scoring

• Text summarization

• Intelligent workflow recommendations

• Decision-support tooling

• Contribute to engineering best practices, automation, and modernization initiatives.

Platform Modernization & Migration

• Build solutions that allow legacy and modern platforms to operate simultaneously during migration.
• Develop adapters, routing mechanisms, and integration layers that facilitate incremental platform replacement.
• Support a strangler-pattern modernization approach rather than large-scale system cutovers.
• Design solutions that enable long-term scalability and extensibility.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product, UX, Data Science, Architecture, and Business stakeholders to transform requirements into working software.
• Participate in technical discovery sessions and architecture discussions.
• Clearly communicate design decisions, system interactions, and implementation approaches.

Required Qualifications Technical Expertise

• Strong full-stack development experience with:

• Angular (preferred) or React

• TypeScript

• Java/Spring

• Node.js and/or Python

• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and service-based architectures.

• Strong AWS cloud development experience.

• Proficiency with SQL and structured data environments.

• Experience building scalable, production-grade enterprise applications.

• Strong understanding of testing strategies, security principles, observability, and software quality practices.

Systems Integration Experience

• Proven experience designing and implementing integrations between multiple enterprise systems.
• Experience working with legacy system modernization initiatives.
• Ability to design APIs, interface contracts, and data exchange patterns.
• Experience with event-driven systems, messaging technologies, and distributed architectures.

Engineering Leadership & Discovery

• Experience building greenfield applications from the ground up.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with evolving requirements.
• Ability to investigate unfamiliar systems and independently drive technical discovery.
• Strong technical communication and documentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

AI & Modern Development Practices

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools within the software development lifecycle.
• Strong interest in emerging AI technologies and modern engineering productivity tools.
• Ability to balance accelerated development with quality, maintainability, and security standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS QuickSight or similar BI/data visualization platform experience.
• Experience building analytics-driven or ML-enabled applications.
• Strong understanding of user experience and analyst-focused application design.
• Experience embedding or integrating visualization components into enterprise applications.
• Financial services, regulatory, compliance, risk, or surveillance domain experience.
• Experience with large-scale platform modernization initiatives.
• Experience implementing strangler-pattern migrations.
• Experience with MCP, LLM-based tooling, or agentic AI solutions.
• Data storytelling and visualization expertise.
• Exposure to high-auditability and high-compliance environments where correctness and traceability are critical.
