Full Stack Team Leader

Bagira is a leader in the field of training and simulation systems with a track record of delivering high-end, customized, cost-effective solutions for mission readiness. Bagira’s simulators are being used by hundreds of thousands of soldiers at more than 40 sites worldwide.

Bagira is looking for a Full Stack Team Leader to establish and lead a new product team in our Tel Aviv offices.

We are looking for a highly motivated, independent and experienced technical leader with strong leadership qualities, a can-do attitude, and a passion for technology to help us build and lead a new, small and elite full-stack development team within Bagira, responsible for the infrastructure of a new cloud-connected product built on Windows-based platforms.

What will you do?

• Play a key role in establishing a new full-stack development team within the company, including active participation in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire team members, fostering growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Take an active part in defining the initial architecture of the new product's infrastructure, and own ongoing system architecture and design processes, ensuring scalable, efficient, and robust solutions.\
• Work closely with product managers to translate product vision into technical plans, and collaborate with UX, QA, DevOps, and cross-team stakeholders in a matrix environment, while driving execution independently.
• Improve engineering standards, code quality, and development practices through reviews, mentoring, and technical guidance.
• Drive the development of high-quality software solutions across the stack, ensuring best practices in both backend (C#/.NET) and frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript) development, across cloud and Windows environments.An empty job that is used for creating requisitions 'from scratch'

Requirements:

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, with significant full-stack experience in production environments.
• 2+ years in a hands-on technical leadership role (team lead, tech lead, or architect), leading engineers and owning delivery outcomes.
• Excellent software design and architecture skills, with a strong track record of designing scalable, maintainable cloud applications and guiding others on design tradeoffs.
• Deep frontend expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React and Angular, including setting standards for component architecture, state management, performance, and maintainability.
• Strong backend expertise in C# and modern .NET (.NET Core), including API design, service architecture, authentication and authorization, integration patterns, and background processing.
• Strong experience with cloud-native development and operations (AWS, Azure), including deployment strategies, reliability considerations, and cost awareness.
• Experience defining engineering best practices, code review culture, branching strategy, and quality gates (tests, static analysis, security checks).
• Experience working closely with product managers and collaborating effectively with UX, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional technical teams, including translating requirements into technical plans
• Strong troubleshooting and production ownership mindset, including incident handling, root cause analysis, and prevention through engineering improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to clearly present technical decisions, align on tradeoffs, and drive consensus.
• Strong mentoring and coaching abilities, including growing senior engineers, onboarding new team members, and raising the overall engineering bar.
• Solid knowledge of Windows environments, including application deployment, installation, and system configuration.
• Deep knowledge of Windows internals (processes, services, security model, OS-level integration) – a significant advantage.
• Experience leading the architecture and development of a new product or platform from the ground up – an advantage.
