Full-time 2nd Shift Custodian

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-time 2nd Shift Custodian to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities during the evening hours. Your proactive approach to cleaning, sanitation, and facilities maintenance will ensure that our workspace remains pristine and compliant with safety standards.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
• Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, and equipment following safe lifting practices
• Maintain floors through buffing, stripping, waxing, and other floor care techniques to ensure a polished appearance
• Restock supplies in restrooms and break areas while ensuring proper sanitation standards are met
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly
• Support general facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting as needed to uphold a professional environment

Requirements

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, sanitation procedures, and the safe handling of chemical agents
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools
• Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking during shifts
• Strong adherence to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards
• Customer service skills are a plus for interacting professionally with staff and visitors when necessary

Pay: $15.40 - $15.80 per hour
