FULL-TIME BLOCK MANAGER

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Block Manager to join our Block & Estate Management department on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in block and estate management. Previous experience in block management is not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided to help the successful candidate develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the role.

The successful candidate will work with a varied portfolio of properties, primarily managed on behalf of Resident Management Companies (RMCs) and Right to Manage (RTM) companies, as well as some freeholders. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will gain exposure to all aspects of residential block management, including:

• Carrying out property site visits and inspections.
• Arranging planned and reactive maintenance and liaising with contractors.
• Assisting with health and safety inspections and fire safety compliance.
• Responding to leaseholder enquiries and maintaining positive client relationships.
• Supporting the planning and delivery of Section 20 major works projects.
• Assisting with the organisation and attendance of Annual General Meetings (AGMs).
• Helping prepare and maintain annual service charge budgets.
• Supporting the day-to-day management and smooth running of residential developments.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am–5.30pm, with occasional weekday out-of-hours work to attend client meetings as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and keen to learn, with a genuine interest in property management and providing excellent customer service.

You do not need previous block management experience. We welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills and experience in areas such as customer service, administration, property, facilities management, letting property management or other client-facing roles.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confidence using IT systems and standard office software.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing to a team.
• A full UK driving licence.

An industry-related qualification, such as TPI, RICS or IOSH, would be advantageous but is not essential. We are happy to support the successful candidate in developing their industry knowledge and working towards relevant qualifications as appropriate.
