Full-Time Chef

About the role

Lemoncellos is seeking a Full-Time Chef to join our team in Cairns, Queensland. The ideal candidate will have experience in a busy fast-paced kitchen and familiarity with cooking Italian cuisine.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking high-quality Italian dishes from our menu
• Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Cooking food with various utensils, grillers, ovens, fryers ect
• High understanding and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
• Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience as a Chef (ideally two years)
• Formal culinary training or qualifications, such as a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (Preferred)
• Minimum two years full-time post qualifications work experience is required
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavour profiles, and presentation
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment (important)
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
