Essential Job Functions:

• Teach computer literacy skills to grades 1-2
• Teach quarterly computer science/coding classes to grades 3-7
• Teach semester-length coding elective to grade 8
• Teach one section AP Computer Science Principles and/or AP Computer Science A

Additional duties and responsibilities:

• Chaperone an Outdoor Education Trip
• Teach Sage Session classes
• Supervise a student club (Robotics preferred)
• Complete weekly campus supervision duties
• Chaperone two after-school student government events per year
• Attend weekly faculty meetings
• Implement best teaching practices to foster the learning of all students
• Create interactive and engaging lessons, which include opportunities for hands-on activities
• Maintain up-to-date gradebooks, homework calendars, and parent communication
• Possess strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Blackbaud, etc.
• Support the School's mission and model the School's pillars: Scholarship, Respect, Integrity, Courage, and Community
• Attend Back to School Night and other school functions that occur outside of school hours
• Be a proponent of the school in interactions with the public

Competencies Required:

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent coursework and three years of full-time teaching or a Master's degree and one year of full-time teaching.

• Innovative mindset - curious and courageous in the implementation of high standards
• Ability to express one’s viewpoints with clarity and precision; to listen with openness and not let disagreement turn into conflict; collaborate effectively and with purpose

Sage Ridge will match up to an additional 1% for a maximum total Sage Ridge contribution of 6%. Retirement contributions are vested over three years at a rate of 20% after completing one year of employment, 50% after completing two years and 100% after completing three years.
• Tuition remission: 50% reduction of tuition per child at Sage Ridge per academic year for full-time employees.

Pay: $61,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
