Job Description: Deli Assistant

Full time deli assistant with potential for promotion.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
• Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their deli orders and providing product recommendations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and surfaces
• Receive and stock inventory, ensuring proper rotation of products
• Operate deli equipment such as ovens, and fryers
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistent quality of food products

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a deli or food service setting is preferred but not required
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Availability to work flexible hours, including holiday cover.

Pay: £11.65-£14.00 per hour

• Our deli shifts are 7am-3pm with some 6am starts Monday to Saturday. Successful applicants must be available these hours. Please state your availability.

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

• Food industry: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)

Work authorisation:

• United Kingdom (required)
