Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them through the menu options with enthusiasm and detailed descriptions.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using advanced POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted precisely.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
• Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
• Manage tables efficiently by bussing, resetting, and ensuring cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a server in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment with a strong background in food service.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that fosters guest relations.
• Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Knowledge of food industry standards including food preparation, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations.
• Experience with culinary techniques or kitchen experience is a plus to better understand menu offerings.
• Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining genuine guest interactions; previous host/hostess or nightclub experience is advantageous.
