Full-Time Grounds

To maintain all physical facilities in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness and safety to ensure full educational use of school buildings at all times; and establish and maintain a high level of cooperation with Administrators and Supervisors.Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and care for school grounds.
• Prepare the various athletic fields for school activities.
• Prepare seeding or transplanting beds by cultivating soil, adding fertilizer or chemicals as needed.
• Prunes trees, trims hedges and shrubs to promote growth and improve appearance.
• Mows lawns.
• Adjust and repair equipment.
• Use truck and snow plow when necessary.
• Shovels snow from sidewalks and driveways and spreads salt, or sands to prevent slipping.

• Experience in the use of commercial landscape and snow removal equipment
• Valid NJ driver's license is required.
• Mechanical ability & CDL certified preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects over 50lbs.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Flexible Hours
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Black Seal Low Pressure Certified preferred or ability to attend certification classes and obtain license(s) within one year.

Pay: $36,150.00 - $66,870.00 per year
