Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Handle window cleaning and pressure washing tasks to maintain clear views and exterior surfaces.
• Conduct janitorial tasks such as trash removal, sanitation of restrooms, and replenishing supplies to ensure hygiene compliance.
• Manage laundry services including washing, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items efficiently.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively while adhering to proper chemical handling procedures.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly during all cleaning activities to ensure safety and infection control.
• Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies or furniture as needed, following safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, sanitation procedures, and equipment maintenance.
• Support custodial activities in both commercial and residential settings with a focus on infection control standards.

Experience

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience is highly preferred, especially in commercial or healthcare environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in cleaning techniques such as floor care, window cleaning, and pressure washing.
• Knowledge of chemical handling protocols and sanitation practices essential for maintaining a safe environment.
• Experience with various cleaning equipment including vacuums, buffers, pressure washers, and other tools.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks consistently throughout shifts.
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and safety regulations related to custodial work.
