Full Time Instructor (AEL)

Position Summary: The Adult Basic Education Instructor is responsible for a multi-level class of adult learners. Position is responsible for instructing a cohort of at least 20 adult learners in reading, writing, and mathematical content knowledge to improve basic skills and/or prepare for a GED® credential

• Ability to manage and maintain a professional classroom, providing instruction to adult participants whose basic skills are below the twelfth grade level.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Planning and implementation of instructional activities for a cohort of adult learners preparing for a GED®, Career Readiness Certificate (CRC), Digital Literacy, professional soft-skill credentials and an industry certification at an accelerated pace for the Education Service Center Region

• Administer assessments in accordance with vendor guidelines and TWC

• Collaborate with training provider staff to plan a contextualized

• Develop program timeline and weekly instructional schedule for learner persistence and ITEC

• Maintain accurate data and student records using ONEFLOW and

• Participates in staff development activities, staff meetings and curriculum development activities as required or assigned.

• Individual must possess knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment appropriate for instructing adult learners in obtaining a GED®, Career Readiness Certificate, and Digital Literacy credentials.

• Demonstrate self-confidence and poise in representing ESC-2 at community events

• Seek opportunities to learn about current and emerging programs and services to identify and anticipate program needs

• Participates in required program meetings/trainings/events to meet program goals

• Performs other duties as assigned

• Provides for appropriate time, resources, and materials to accomplish Center goals including planning, implementation, and evaluation of program

• Assumes responsibility for correlation of center goals and objectives
