Full time Litigation Paralegal

Woodland Hills law firm seeks a pro-active, self-motivated Litigation Paralegal. Candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative, clerical and legal duties and will be an integral part of the legal team.

The candidate must be a team player and possess an easy-going nature, good sense of humor, respectful of co-workers and the ability to handle the occasional stressful situation. We pride ourselves with working in a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere and are seeking someone who will fit right in.

Job duties include: Pre-lit and litigation procedures, including partial preparation of demand packages, preparation of complaints/answers to complaints, preparation of and responding to discovery requests, partial preparation of MSC, mediation and trial briefs, trial preparation, medical record reviews and e-filing procedures (both state and federal).

Requirements/Qualifications

Candidate must have a Paralegal Certificate and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in either civil plaintiff or defense litigation, employment law experience and tracking billing is a plus; possess outstanding communication, spelling, grammar, organizational and time management skills; and thorough knowledge of State and Federal Civil Procedure, court rules, Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook. Prolaw experience is also plus.

Pay: $36.00 - $39.00 per hour
