Full-Time Maintenance Technician and General Plant Support

Overview

Willie Joe’s Processing is looking for a dependable, mechanically skilled person to join our team.

Approximately 80% of this position will involve equipment and facility maintenance. The remaining 20% will involve helping in other areas of the plant as needed.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment
• Completing scheduled preventive maintenance
• Performing general electrical troubleshooting
• Working with three-phase power, electric motors, controls, and related equipment
• Performing routine plumbing and facility repairs
• Identifying equipment problems before they cause extended downtime
• Keeping maintenance tools, parts, supplies, and records organized
• Assisting with general plant work when maintenance duties are current
• The position may require some on the job training

The right candidate should:

• Have strong mechanical and problem-solving abilities
• Understand electrical systems and three-phase power
• Have basic plumbing and facility-maintenance knowledge
• Be comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and electrical meters
• Work safely and follow lockout-tagout procedures
• Be dependable, organized, and able to work with limited supervision
• Be willing to help wherever needed in the plant

Previous maintenance experience in food processing, manufacturing, agriculture, refrigeration, or another industrial environment is preferred.

Schedule:

• Full-time position - could possibly work a flexible schedule
• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required for urgent repairs or planned maintenance
