Job Description:

We seek a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Priority Urgent Care. The ideal candidate will be crucial in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Obtain and accurately record vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
• Prepare patients for medical procedures and administer medications as directed.
• Perform basic laboratory tests such as blood draws and urinalysis.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper stocking of medical supplies.
• Educate patients about their conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Ensure compliance with all infection control and safety protocols.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain electronic health records.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and insurance verification.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient concerns and inquiries.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient care delivery.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certification required.
• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant is required; in an urgent care or similar clinical setting is a plus.
• Proficiency in basic medical procedures and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• BLS certification required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
