What You'll Do

• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient medical records.
• Review documentation to ensure accurate code assignment and MS-DRG reimbursement.
• Abstract clinical data while following official coding guidelines and facility requirements.
• Meet established productivity and quality standards.
• Collaborate with CDI specialists and providers to clarify documentation as needed.

Qualifications

• CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) through AHIMA REQUIRED
• Minimum of 3 years of recent inpatient coding experience preferred.
• Strong acute care inpatient coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRGs, and current coding guidelines.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or other major EMR systems preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to coding accuracy and quality.
