Full-time Permanent Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Enhanced DBS Security Officer to uphold the safety and security of our premises.

Duties

• Carry out a full Lock Up of the premises ensuring all building and locked and alarmed
• Carry out a full unlock of the premises ensuring it is ready for business
• Perform regular external patrols of the premises to ensure physical security measures are maintained and hazards are addressed
• Manage access control procedures, verifying staff, visitors and contractors,
• Respond promptly to security alarms or incidents, coordinating with emergency responders when necessary
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and surveillance footage in accordance with company policies

Experience

• Proven experience in security operations, preferably within a educational environment
• Excellent observational skills with an eye for detail in surveillance footage and physical surroundings
• Effective communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
• Valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check clearance or willingness to obtain one
