Full Time Pharmacy Assistant

Key responsibilities:

• Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling,
• Data entry of patient care information into Fillware computer system,
• Receiving of wholesaler medication order, pricing, and placing on shelf,
• Third Party adjudication,
• Accurate dispensing prescription medications,
• Maintenance of pharmacy stock (expiries, etc.)
• General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary,
• Handling customer prescription pick up,
• Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required in the Pharmacy
• Regular house-keeping of pharmacy (Cleaning, Shredding)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Assistant;
• Fillware Experience an Asset;
• Blister Pack/Compliance Pack experience an Asset;
• Must have EXCELLENT communication skills;
• excellent organizational skills and detail orientation;
• strong communication skills;
• demonstrated customer service experience;
• strong motivation to succeed;
• proficient computer/data entry skills.
