Full Time Sales Assistant

Overview

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store
• Provide knowledgeable advice on product features and benefits to enhance customer experience
• Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and handle cash, card, or digital payments
• Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive and organised displays
• Restock shelves and ensure stock levels are adequate throughout the shift
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and efficiently
• Keep the sales area clean, tidy, and safe at all times
• Support team members during busy periods and contribute positively to a collaborative working environment

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanour
• Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
• Organised with good attention to detail to manage stock levels and display standards
• Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if necessary
• A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in helping customers find suitable products
• Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately
