Full-Time Server

Overview

We are looking for dedicated and talented people to help continue our rich history and tradition as the only authentic Irish Pub in the Woodlands. This is a full time position that will include weekdays and weekends. We are willing to accept servers with any level of experience.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, offering menus and answering initial questions to set a positive tone for their dining experience
• Take accurate food, beverage, and cocktail orders using Toast POS system ensuring timely delivery
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation in accordance with food safety regulations
• Process cash transactions accurately, handle credit card payments securely, and manage tabs with precision using POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software
• Assist with food handling, preparation support when needed, and bussing tables to maintain a clean dining environment
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues professionally, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with knowledge of fine dining standards preferred
• Strong proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Demonstrated ability in upselling beverages including spirits and wines to maximize sales opportunities
• Knowledge of cocktail mixing, beverage service including spirits experience, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Previous experience in hospitality roles such as host/hostess or bartender is advantageous; nightclub or food industry experience is a plus
