Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Teller is responsible for providing accurate and efficient service to members including processing deposits, withdrawals, checks and related transactions and reconciling the assigned cash drawer. In addition, the Teller is responsible to adhere to all policies and procedures, have thorough product knowledge, and cross-sell appropriate products and services.

1. Provides professional, courteous, efficient and accurate service to members and potential members in person and by telephone.

2. Processes transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan and VISA payments, savings bond redemptions, cash advances, transfers, money orders, bank checks, shared branching or any other transactions received in person inside the branch or at the drive-thru, by mail, ATM, or night depository.

3. Participates in dual control access and settlement of ATM or night depository.

4. Assists with cash shipment verification's when necessary.

5. Participates in training of new teller staff.

6. Maintains and updates member information to ensure accuracy.

7. Maintains sufficient operating funds and secures or transfers excess.

8. Maintains accurate records of all transactions and assists in the daily teller line functions including branch reconciliation and check scanning.

9. Balances the assigned cash drawer and participates in locating/correcting any teller errors and cash drawer discrepancies.

10. Maintains thorough product knowledge to cross-sell products and services and proactively engages in conversations with members to discover needs.

11. Must maintain confidentiality of information and ensure proper destruction of confidential records.

12. Must follow all security policies and procedures as well as all established RICU policies/procedures.

13. Actively participates in all training, employee and member incentive programs, and any marketing and public relations efforts designed to increase business and improve image.
