Full-Time Video Editor

Happy Go Productions is looking for an experienced, versatile Video Editor to join our post-production team.

We produce commercials, branded content, social media videos, digital campaigns, and other marketing content. We’re looking for an editor who can take projects from raw footage through final delivery and make the work feel polished, engaging, and professional.

We prefer someone in the Boston / Massachusetts area who can occasionally work with our team in person, but we’re open to remote candidates as well.

What You’ll Do

• Edit commercial, branded, social, lifestyle, product, event, and corporate content
• Take projects from raw footage through final delivery
• Create engaging edits with strong pacing, storytelling, and visual flow
• Work with interviews, B-roll, multicam footage, and narrative content
• Build sound design, SFX, music, and transitions into your edits
• Handle color correction and creative color grading
• Add motion graphics, VFX, compositing, cleanup, tracking, masking, and other effects when needed
• Create different versions and cutdowns for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, websites, ads, and other platforms
• Work from creative briefs, references, and client feedback
• Keep projects and files organized throughout the post-production process
• Communicate with our production team and meet deadlines

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional video editing experience
• A strong portfolio showing commercial, branded, or agency-level work
• Experience working with brands, agencies, production companies, or commercial clients
• Strong editing and post-production skills
• Solid VFX and compositing experience
• Strong understanding of sound design and SFX
• Experience with color correction and grading
• A good sense of pacing, music, storytelling, and visual rhythm
• Comfortable editing different types of content rather than specializing in just one style
• Able to take creative direction while bringing your own ideas to the edit
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines
• Good file organization and post-production workflow habits

Software

Strong experience with professional editing software is required. Experience with:

• Adobe Premiere Pro
• DaVinci Resolve
• Final Cut Pro
• Professional audio and sound-design tools
• VFX and motion graphics software
• AI and other modern post-production tools

The Right Fit

We’re looking for someone who can take a folder of footage and a creative direction and turn it into a finished piece that feels ready for a brand or client.

You should care about the details, pacing, sound effects, music, color, transitions, graphics, cleanup, and all the small things that make an edit feel polished.

You should also be comfortable switching between different styles and matching creative references without needing every decision spelled out.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone reliable who we can build a long-term working relationship with across ongoing projects.

Location

Boston / Massachusetts area preferred. Remote applicants will also be considered.
