About the role:

We are looking for a hands-on Full Stack Developer who can own features end to end from the first UI sketch to the database, the API and the production deployment.

The client which you will be deployed is a startup environment. There is no separate team for every layer, so you will move between frontend, backend, database, UI/UX and DevOps work as the product needs it. You will work directly with product, design and business stakeholders, and your work will reach real customers quickly.

Required Skills and Technical Knowledge

The candidate should be strong in at least one area of each row and have working knowledge of the rest.

Area What we expect

• Languages: JavaScript and TypeScript (strong); Python (working knowledge)
• Frontend: React / Next.js, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind or similar, responsive design
• Backend: Node.js (Express / NestJS) or Python (FastAPI / Django), REST API design
• Database: PostgreSQL or MySQL, MongoDB or Firestore, schema design, query optimisation
• UI/UX: Figma basics, layout and usability principles, accessibility basics
• Cloud and deployment: AWS / GCP / Azure basics, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Linux, Nginx
• Version control: Git, GitLab / GitHub, branching and merge-request workflow
• Security: Authentication (JWT / OAuth), role-based access, OWASP basics
• **Testing:**Unit and integration testing (Jest, Pytest or similar), debugging
• Tools: Postman, browser dev tools, Jira / Linear or similar task tracker

Key Responsibilities

Frontend and UI/UX

• Build responsive, accessible web interfaces using React / Next.js and modern CSS (Tailwind or similar).
• Turn Figma designs and rough requirements into clean, usable screens, and suggest UI/UX improvements based on user feedback.
• Manage state, forms, validation and API integration on the client side.

Backend and APIs

• Design and build REST (and where needed GraphQL) APIs using Node.js / Express / NestJS or Python (FastAPI / Django).
• Implement authentication, authorisation, role-based access and secure handling of user data.
• Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, email/SMS, cloud storage and AI/LLM APIs.

Database

• Design schemas and write efficient queries for SQL (PostgreSQL / MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB / Firestore) databases.
• Handle migrations, indexing, backups and basic performance tuning.

Deployment and DevOps

• Deploy and maintain applications on cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).
• Work with Docker, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitLab CI / GitHub Actions) and Linux servers.
• Monitor applications, read logs, debug production issues and fix them quickly.

Engineering practice and teamwork

• Write clean, maintainable, tested code and take part in code reviews.
• Use Git properly branching, merge requests and meaningful commits.
• Break down requirements into tasks, estimate effort and deliver on time.
• Write basic technical documentation for features, APIs and deployments.
