About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join a highly collaborative engineering team focused on building scalable, reliable, and exceptional digital experiences. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play an important role in shaping technical direction, contributing to architectural decisions, and delivering customer-facing applications that support strategic business initiatives. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers while also mentoring teammates through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, performant, and reliable full-stack software solutions.
• Build and enhance customer-facing applications that support key business initiatives.
• Contribute to technical architecture, system design, and engineering decisions.
• Develop backend services using Java or Kotlin and work within Ruby on Rails environments.
• Build modern frontend applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-impact features.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Work with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka.
• Participate in database design and development using technologies such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Review pull requests and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback to other engineers.
• Participate in pair programming, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Deploy production-ready code and contribute throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
• Help evolve existing systems and contribute to the modernization of legacy applications.
• Continuously evaluate new technologies, design patterns, and engineering practices.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Professional experience working with Ruby on Rails environments.
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript (ECMAScript), HTML, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience building applications with React and related ecosystem tools.
• Experience with Node.js and npm.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Git, TypeScript, IDEs, version control, and deployment tools.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and GraphQL.
• Solid knowledge of database design fundamentals.
• Experience developing scalable and maintainable software in production environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills and a user-centric engineering mindset.
• Ability to mentor engineers and contribute to technical decision-making.

• Experience implementing or maintaining Kafka-based event streaming solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Elixir.
• Experience decomposing monolithic applications into microservices.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience working with AWS services, particularly AWS Lambda.
