FullStack Java Developer (Mid-level)

About the role

We are looking for a Fullstack Java Developer to develop and maintain web applications across the entire technology stack. The role will focus on Java and Spring Boot for backend development and React with JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend development. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and QA in an Agile environment to deliver reliable, secure, and user-friendly applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fullstack web applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs that are secure, performant, and well-tested.
• Build responsive and accessible user interfaces based on designs and business requirements.
• Develop clean, maintainable code and write unit and integration tests.
• Work with relational databases, including SQL, schema design, and data access using Spring Data/JPA.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams through sprint planning, stand-ups, refinement, and retrospectives.
• Support the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience developing Java-based web applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, including Spring MVC and Spring Data; Spring Security is a plus.
• Solid experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web design.
• Experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with automated testing, particularly JUnit and frontend testing tools.
• Proficiency with Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Nice to Have

• Practical experience using AI/LLM tools such as Claude to support software development.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to microservices architecture.
