Fulltime Toddler or Preschool Lead Teacher

Duties

• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for toddlers or preschoolers
• Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, socialization, and emotional growth
• Utilize effective behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions and self-regulation among children
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate activities, assessments, and classroom routines
• Incorporate early intervention techniques and special education strategies to support diverse learning needs
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental progress and inform instruction

Skills

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early childhood education best practices
• Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings with classroom management expertise
• Ability to implement literacy education, math activities, physical education, and other subject areas effectively
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure child safety at all times
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners
• Proficiency in lesson planning, behavior management techniques, and classroom organization
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; experience working with children with special needs is a plus
• Knowledge of early intervention strategies and experience teaching physical education or tutoring young learners

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
