Function & Event Bar Assistant

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wines, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
• Assist in setting up bar stations for upcoming events, including stocking supplies and organizing tools.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner while taking orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards by regularly sanitizing work areas, glassware, and utensils in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Manage cash handling and POS (Point of Sale) systems with accuracy during busy service periods.
• Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies; notify management when stock needs replenishing.
• Support the team in adhering to all health and safety policies related to food safety, alcohol service, and general cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, bartending, serving, or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude that energizes team interactions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• A genuine passion for hospitality combined with a proactive approach to guest service.

Pay: £10.00-£12.71 per hour
