Function & Events Manager

The Grosvenor Hotel is looking for a passionate and energetic Functions and Events Manager to come and join our historic inner-city pub!

We are looking for someone who will own the function experience from the first enquiry to the last guest leaving, whether that's a milestone birthday, a wedding, a corporate event or a Christmas party. You'll work hand in hand with our kitchen and bar teams, be confident leading the floor on the night, and be able to turn enquiries into bookings.

Our venue runs on good people and a team, and a love for hospitality and making people's occasions special is a must. The rest can be taught to the right person.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: You've got proven experience in a functions or events role, ideally in a pub, hotel or restaurant.
• Sales: You can build rapport with customers, run site visits with confidence and convert enquiries into bookings.
• Organisation: You're highly organised with a great eye for detail, and you can juggle quotes, deposits, run sheets and multiple events at once.
• Leadership: We need someone who can lead, inspire and keep the energy high on the floor on the night.
• Commitment: We're looking for someone in it for the long haul. If you're ready to grow with us, develop yourself and leave your mark on one of Perth's oldest pubs, we want to hear from you.
• Systems: You're comfortable with booking and POS systems and quick to pick up new technology.
• Availability: Flexible availability, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Safe Work Practices: A current RSA certificate is essential, and a WA Approved Manager card is preferred.
• Working Rights: Full Australian working rights.
