Functional Analyst (Energy Sector - Payments & ISU Billing)

I am currently looking for a Functional Analyst to join a major player in the Belgian energy sector on a long-term transformation programme focused on billing, payments, and customer operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on business-critical initiatives within a large-scale SAP IS-U environment, helping shape the future of energy services for millions of customers.

Location: Brussels (Hybrid)

Contract: Long-term mission

Languages: Dutch and/or French plus English ( English-only profiles cannot be considered )

Your Role:

As a Functional Analyst, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, analysing requirements and translating them into functional solutions within the billing and payments domain.

You will:

• Gather, challenge, and document business requirements
• Perform functional analysis within billing, invoicing, and payment processes
• Work closely with business teams, developers, architects, and testers
• Produce functional specifications, process flows, and user stories
• Support delivery within Agile environments
• Participate in workshops, testing activities, and solution validation
• Contribute to continuous improvements across customer and billing journeys

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst
• Strong experience within the energy or utilities sector
• Solid knowledge of Payments and Billing processes
• Experience with SAP IS-U Billing
• Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications
• Knowledge of Agile ways of working (Scrum/Kanban)
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work in complex enterprise environments

Language Requirements:

• Fluent Dutch/French and English
