Functional Analyst (German speaking)

Position Description

We are looking for an experienced Functional Analyst (German Speaking) to join our team and contribute to one of the most strategic transformation programs within a leading international bank. This long-term initiative focuses on transforming the bank's Target Operating Model (TOM) across the Private Banking and Investment Management domains.

In this role, you will act as the link between business and technology, analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical user stories that enable successful solution delivery. You will work in an international Agile environment alongside business stakeholders, architects, developers, and testing teams, contributing to the full software development lifecycle.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements related to Private Banking and Investment Management solutions.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and technical user stories for development teams.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Solution Architects, Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze existing applications, interfaces, and business processes to identify functional improvements and integration requirements.
• Define and document APIs, integration scenarios, and data exchange formats (e.g. REST, JSON).
• Support solution design by ensuring functional consistency across multiple systems and applications.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support testing activities by clarifying functional requirements and validating delivered solutions.
• Continuously expand knowledge of banking products, investment processes, and new technologies to support the evolving needs of the transformation program.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• Experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or Systems Analyst within the banking or financial services industry.
• Understanding of banking products, particularly securities processing.
• Knowledge of portfolio management systems and their integration with other banking platforms.
• Understanding of investment advisory processes and MiFID regulations.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional and non-functional requirements.
• Experience creating functional specifications and technical user stories in an Agile environment.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases for data analysis.
• Basic knowledge of Java or other programming languages to effectively collaborate with development teams.
• Experience specifying REST APIs and working with JSON data formats.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• German language skills at minimum B1 level (required).

Nice to have

• Experience within Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Asset Management.
• Knowledge of AI-supported analysis or requirements engineering.
• Experience working on large-scale banking transformation programs.
• Familiarity with cloud-based integration solutions.

Projekt koncentruje się na transformacji Target Operating Model (TOM) w obszarach Private Banking oraz Investment Management .

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Analiza wymagań biznesowych i funkcjonalnych związanych z rozwiązaniami z obszaru Private Banking oraz Investment Management.
• Przekładanie wymagań biznesowych na szczegółowe specyfikacje funkcjonalne oraz techniczne historyjki użytkownika (User Stories).
• Współpraca z przedstawicielami biznesu, Product Ownerami, Architektami Rozwiązań, zespołami deweloperskimi oraz zespołami testowymi na wszystkich etapach realizacji projektu.
• Analiza istniejących aplikacji, systemów oraz procesów biznesowych w celu identyfikacji możliwości usprawnień oraz integracji.
• Definiowanie i dokumentowanie wymagań dotyczących REST API, scenariuszy integracyjnych oraz formatów wymiany danych, takich jak JSON.
• Wspieranie projektowania rozwiązań poprzez dbanie o spójność funkcjonalną pomiędzy systemami i aplikacjami.
• Udział w ceremoniach Agile, takich jak refinement, planowanie sprintów, przeglądy oraz retrospektywy.
• Wspieranie procesu testowania poprzez doprecyzowywanie wymagań funkcjonalnych oraz weryfikację dostarczanych rozwiązań.
• Poszerzanie wiedzy z zakresu produktów bankowych, procesów inwestycyjnych oraz nowych technologii wspierających transformację bankowości.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• Doświadczenie na stanowisku Functional Analyst, Business Analyst lub Systems Analyst w sektorze bankowym lub finansowym.
• Znajomość produktów bankowych, w szczególności obszaru obsługi papierów wartościowych (Securities Processing).
• Znajomość systemów do zarządzania portfelem inwestycyjnym (Portfolio Management Systems) oraz ich integracji z innymi systemami bankowymi.
• Znajomość procesów doradztwa inwestycyjnego oraz regulacji MiFID.
• Doświadczenie w zbieraniu, analizowaniu i dokumentowaniu wymagań funkcjonalnych oraz niefunkcjonalnych.
• Doświadczenie w przygotowywaniu specyfikacji funkcjonalnych oraz technicznych User Stories w środowisku Agile.
• Dobra znajomość SQL oraz relacyjnych baz danych wykorzystywanych do analizy danych.
• Podstawowa znajomość Java lub innych języków programowania umożliwiająca efektywną współpracę z zespołami deweloperskimi.
• Doświadczenie w specyfikowaniu REST API oraz pracy z formatem JSON.
• Umiejętność analitycznego myślenia oraz efektywnej współpracy z interesariuszami biznesowymi i technicznymi.
• Bardzo dobra znajomość języka angielskiego.
• Znajomość języka niemieckiego na poziomie minimum B1 (warunek konieczny).

Mile widziane
