Functional Medicine Practitioner / Naturopathic Doctor

The Natural Care Center of Woodbury has been part of the community for 25 years and has built an award-winning, collaborative clinic offering chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage therapy, naturopathic medicine, wellness services and integrative care. As our very part-time naturopathic provider gradually transitions toward retirement, we're looking for the right person to work alongside her during the transition, absorb those patients who would be a good fit, and ultimately grow their own base into a thriving practice.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We're open to part-time, gradually increasing hours as the practice grows, and we have considerable scheduling flexibility. Our clinic has additional treatment/consultation rooms as well as secure virtual appointment capabilities, allowing for a combination of:

• In-person appointments
• Secure video visits
• Telephone consultations when appropriate
• Flexible daytime scheduling
• Potentially concentrated or expanded schedules depending upon provider preference

For someone who wants to practice excellent integrative medicine without taking on all of the overhead and headaches of opening a solo practice, this can be an especially attractive opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The exact clinical focus can reflect your personal training and interests, but may include:

• Comprehensive naturopathic or functional medicine consultations
• Nutrition and lifestyle medicine
• Laboratory evaluation and interpretation within professional scope practice type
• Evidence-informed nutritional and supplement recommendations
• Metabolic health and healthy weight management
• Women's health, perimenopause and menopause
• Thyroid and hormonal health
• Gastrointestinal health
• Fatigue, sleep and stress-related concerns
• Preventive health and healthy aging
• Coordination of care with other healthcare professionals when appropriate

We don't expect our providers to practice from an identical template. We value clinicians who bring their own areas of expertise while sharing our commitment to thoughtful, evidence-informed, patient-centered care.

WHO WOULD BE A GREAT FIT

We're looking for someone who is:

Evidence-informed AND integrative. You appreciate natural and lifestyle-based approaches without treating conventional medicine like the enemy.

Curious. You enjoy figuring out complicated patients, asking good questions and continuing to learn.

Collaborative. You like practicing alongside chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists and other healthcare professionals rather than operating in a silo.

Patient-centered. You educate patients and involve them in decisions rather than simply handing them a protocol.

Comfortable with both wellness and complexity. Some patients want prevention and optimization. Others arrive after years of symptoms, specialists and normal test results and are looking for someone willing to take a more comprehensive look.

Independent, but not alone. You're comfortable managing your own patients while appreciating having an established clinic, experienced staff and other providers around you.

And, importantly, you're a good human. We take our work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. We're looking for someone our patients, staff and other providers genuinely enjoy having as part of the clinic.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should hold appropriate education, credentials and current Minnesota registration/licensure necessary to provide the services they offer.

We are particularly interested in:

• Registered Naturopathic Doctors (ND/RND)
• Appropriate professionals with functional/integrative medicine training

Functional medicine certification or advanced training is strongly valued but will be considered in the context of the candidate's underlying professional license, education and clinical experience.

Experience is preferred, but we're also willing to consider an exceptional newer practitioner who is clinically strong, motivated and an excellent fit for our team.

Compensation is percentage-based on collections, allowing compensation to grow with your practice.

Pay: $63.00 - $100.00 per hour
