Functional Safety Software Developer

As part of VinFast’s software and vehicle engineering organization, you will contribute to the development of safety-critical software for advanced driver assistance and autonomous driving systems deployed on next-generation electric vehicles.

We are looking for an experienced Functional Safety Software Developer to design, develop, integrate, and maintain safety-related software for ADAS and Autonomous Driving ECUs. The successful candidate will work closely with software, hardware, system, perception, integration, and safety engineering teams to deliver ISO 26262-compliant solutions across camera, radar, sensor fusion, and centralized ADAS compute platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Safety Software Development:

· Develop and maintain safety-related software for ADAS and Autonomous Driving ECUs.

· Implement Functional Safety software solutions on TI Sitara and TDA4 SoC or NVIDIA SOC or Qualcomm SOC platforms.

· Develop software safety mechanisms to achieve required ASIL targets.

· Support integration of safety software across camera, radar, and central computer platforms.

· Work with cross functional software integration team and integrate functional safety software with other software component.

· Develop safety monitoring and diagnostic software for:

• 7-camera vision systems
• 5-radar perception systems
• Sensor fusion and centralized ADAS compute architecture

Workproduct delivery responsibility:

• Software Safety Requirements
• Software safety Architecture
• Hardware-Software Interface (HSI) specification
• Safety Traceability Management
• Safety Mechanism Implementation & Integration
• Software safety analysis FMEA, DFA
• Software calibration and embedded FUSA software delivery.
• FUSA software implementation followed SOC or MCU safety manual.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in:

• Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Embedded Systems or Automotive Engineering

Experience

• 10+ years of embedded software development experience.
• 5+ years of Functional Safety software development experience.
• Experience in ISO 26262-compliant development projects.
• Experience with ADAS, Autonomous Driving, radar, camera, or perception systems is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

Mandatory

• Embedded C/C++
• AUTOSAR Classic and/or Adaptive
• Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) or Linux OS or QNX OS
• Safety diagnostics implementation
• TI Sitara platform or TI TDA4 platform or NVIDIA Platform or Qualcomm platform
• Software architecture development followed ISO 26262 part 6
• Safety mechanisms implementation
• Requirement management tools (Polarion, DOORS, Codebeamer, etc.)
