Functional Test Engineer – ISP

Job Summary

We are seeking Functional Test Engineers with strong ISP (Image Signal Processing) and camera validation experience to test camera, imaging, and display features across mobile and other device platforms. Candidates should have hands-on functional testing experience, strong defect analysis skills, and exposure to reviewing automation results.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate camera, imaging, and display features across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and Home platforms.
• Design, develop, and execute functional test scenarios and test cases.
• Validate ISP and camera features, including Auto Focus (AF), Auto Exposure (AE), Auto White Balance (AWB), HDR, and Night Mode.
• Analyze defects, investigate logs, participate in bug triage, and support issue resolution.
• Review automated test results, investigate failures, and improve test coverage.
• Support new device bring-up, pre-release validation, and release readiness activities.
• Perform manual testing across legacy and upcoming devices and software releases.
• Assess quality risks and ensure readiness before product submission.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders.
• For Lead candidates, demonstrate team leadership, stakeholder management, delivery execution, and quality ownership.

Required Skills

• Mandatory ISP domain experience.
• Functional testing and test case design.
• Camera and imaging feature validation.
• Experience testing mobile devices or multi-platform products.
• Defect analysis, log investigation, and bug triage.
• Automation exposure, preferably Python, regression testing, and CI/CD.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience testing products or platforms such as:

• Apple devices and camera/imaging systems.
• Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and Teams.
• Google Pixel, Chromium, XR devices, and watches.
• Meta XR devices and social media applications.

Additional Requirements

• Must be available to work onsite in Cupertino, CA, five days per week from Day 1.
• Must be willing to work in a full-time position.
• Candidates should demonstrate ownership, accountability, documentation skills, time management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
