Functional/Technical Analyst AML - Brussels

Within the Compliance IT department of a major Belgian bank, you join a large-scale anti-money laundering (AML) monitoring project. Your main mission is to take ownership of the existing AML monitoring tool in order to free up time for the current team and strengthen risk coverage.

You work closely with the Business Analyst to translate AML risk analysis (Group Risk Typology Catalogue, red flags and emerging risks) into effective detection scenarios. You develop and refine scenario logic through SAS scripts on historical data, configure scenarios in NetReveal (Scenario Manager) or develop SAS-based detection scripts, test them in the test environment and deploy them to production. You ensure complete documentation for audit traceability, prepare materials for the AML/CTF Transaction Monitoring Framework Committee, support change management for the L1 and L2 teams, and take part in aftercare by analysing alert volumes and relevancy rates.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including several years in the AML domain

• Strong knowledge of NetReveal, in particular Scenario Manager

• Proficiency in SAS Enterprise Guide and SQL

• Proficiency in SAP Business Objects

• Experience working in Agile teams (nice to have)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (nice to have)

• Rigorous, methodical, focused on achieving the sprint goal

• French and/or Dutch fluent, full working proficiency in English
