Functions & Catering Attendant

About the role

As a Functions & Catering Attendant, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional service across both the Club's functions and catering operations. This hands-on position involves setting up, servicing, and packing down functions and events, while also working within the Catering Department to assist with food service, presentation, and customer care. You will work closely with the Functions, Catering, Bar, and Kitchen teams to ensure a high standard of service is provided to members and guests. The role requires a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and special events as required.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and prepare function rooms, equipment, and event spaces
• Provide food and beverage service during functions and catered events
• Assist with catering preparation, presentation, and replenishment of food service areas
• Deliver professional and friendly customer service to members and guests
• Clear and reset function areas during and after events
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of function and catering areas
• Process orders through POS systems accurately
• Assist with customer enquiries and provide product recommendations
• Assist in clearing of floor each shift
• Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and events staff to ensure smooth event delivery

About you

• Previous hospitality, functions, or catering experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
• Current RSA Certificate (desirable)
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, RSA, and workplace health and safety requirements
