Fund Accounting Manager - Mutual Fund/ETF

About the Company

Our client is a well-known asset management firm in Hong Kong. They are now looking for a hands-on Fund Accounting Manager to manage daily fund accounting operations, lead a team, and handle ETF launches and valuations.

Key Responsibilities

• ETF Launches & Setup: Lead the full setup and launch of new ETF products, investment portfolios, and fund accounts. Handle KYC checks and system setup.

• ETF Valuation & Daily Accounting: Manage daily portfolio valuations (NAV), verify pricing, monitor bank accounts, and handle daily reconciliations, trade settlements, corporate actions, and cash positions.

• Team Leadership: Coach, mentor, and guide junior fund accounting staff to ensure daily operations run smoothly.

• Audit & Regulatory Compliance: Review internal, regulatory, and audit reports to ensure accurate and timely submission, following relevant accounting standards.

• System & Process Improvement: Support system development projects (such as user testing, requirements gathering, and system migration) to make daily work more efficient.

Requirements

• Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: At least 5 years of accounting experience, with 3+ years in public funds, ETFs, Money Market Funds (MMF), or Digital Assets.

• Key Focus: Solid experience in ETF daily valuation, pricing, and new ETF fund setup/launch is highly valued.

• Systems: Experience using SAP or YSS system is a strong advantage.

• Knowledge: Good understanding of fund structures, local rules, and accounting standards.

• Languages: Good English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
