Fund Accounting Operations Associate

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a skilled Fund Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will manage the accounting of daily transactions and ensure accurate valuation of portfolio holdings. Your responsibilities will include preparing and completing detailed reports for clients and maintaining effective communication with fund management to facilitate smooth operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accounting functions related to daily financial transactions and portfolio valuations.
• Prepare and complete comprehensive reports for each client, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Communicate effectively with fund management to exchange information and coordinate tasks as needed.
• Maintain meticulous records of transaction activities and valuation processes.
• Support internal governance frameworks by adhering to structured enterprise methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• 2 to 7 years of experience in fund accounting or a related financial services role.
• Have a thorough understanding of the theoretical and technical nature of mutual fund accounting and administration, including basic accounting principles and theories
• Strong understanding of portfolio valuation and transaction processing.
• Proven ability to prepare accurate and detailed reporting documentation.
• Expert use of Microsoft Office and experience with exception based accounting tools as well as transactions or general ledger based accounting systems
• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with fund management teams.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with structured enterprise problem-solving methodologies.
• Familiarity with financial reporting systems and internal governance frameworks.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
