Fund Controller

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead the delivery of financial reporting and client service for a portfolio of complex investment structures. This position combines technical accounting expertise, people leadership, client relationship management, and process improvement within a dynamic financial services environment.

The Role

• Lead the preparation and review of financial reports, statutory accounts, investor reporting packages, and capital account statements for a portfolio of investment vehicles.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing technical accounting guidance and ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
• Oversee year-end audits, tax reporting requirements, and the review of capital activity, fee calculations, distributions, and performance allocations.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals through coaching, performance management, and ongoing professional development.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, workflow optimization, and process standardization.
• Support the onboarding of new structures, client transitions, and strategic business initiatives.

The Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience within financial services, asset management, professional services, or a similar environment.
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
