Fund Operation officer

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily fund operation, updating prices of investment holdings, trades matching and settlement follow up and portfolio valuations that includes reconcile cash and position statements from custodian/administrator on a daily/weekly basis, flag discrepancies, chase breaks, document resolutions.
• Monitor and reconcile the fund investment transactions and reconcile Investment positions on a regular basis
• Arrange funds set up & prepare necessary financial reports
• Process and track subscription, redemption, and transfer for investors, Responsible for the client KYC/AML review upon account opening, and assist on subscription and redemption; Maintain investor records in Excel / fund database, update contact details, KYC status, bank account info.
• Track and chase outstanding documentation from investors, vendors, or counterparties
• Handle investor emails , routine queries on statements, balances, payment status
• Handle subscription, redemption, capital call, and distribution for Underlying investments
• Calculate and prepare fee invoices to funds, File and organize all records and supporting documents, coordinate wire transfers , prepare payment instructions, obtain sign-off, confirm receipt, file confirmations
• Prepare agendas, take minutes, and track action items for internal meetings
• Support in fund audit and prepare investment-related reporting for external and internal parties; Handle regulatory reports
• Liaise with the legal advisors, consultants, custodians, brokers, banks, auditors and any other professional service providers.

Requirements:

• University graduate in Accounting or Finance or a related field.
• Member of ACCA, HKICPA or equivalent is preferable
• At least 6 years’ experience in Fund Accounting in which 2 years at the supervisory level
• Prior exposure to public and private market instruments (equity, fixed income, and credit structures) is highly preferred.
• Proficient in PC applications (Excel and Word); experience in portfolio management system application
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua (Mandarin))
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong initiative with good problem solving skills
