Fund Operations Associate

About the role

We are a boutique hedge fund manager. This role involves fund operations and administration, including NAV reconciliations, cash management, trade settlements, risk monitoring, compliance support, and investor relations coordination. You will work with investment teams, fund administrators, brokers, and service providers to ensure smooth day-to-day fund operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fund Net Asset Value (NAV) reconciliations
• Manage daily cash movements and trade settlements, ensuring all transactions are accurately tracked, reconciled, and completed on time, with any breaks promptly investigated and resolved
• Calculate, monitor, and maintain daily fund risk metrics
• Assist with fund compliance and risk management matters, including ongoing monitoring and internal reporting
• Support the administration and monitoring of fund side pockets
• Conduct post-investment follow-up and monitoring for private-market investments, including tracking key developments, documentation, and reporting requirements
• Prepare risk reports, monthly investor newsletters, and other regular or ad hoc reports
• Coordinate with the Investor Relations team on investor onboarding, including KYC/AML reviews, subscription documentation, and execution tracking
• Liaise with the investment team, fund administrators, brokers, and other service providers to ensure smooth day-to-day fund operations
• Support senior management and the investment team on special projects and ad hoc requests

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
• One to two years of relevant experience in fund operations, fund administration, accounting, compliance, risk management, or a related field is preferred
• Fresh graduates may also be considered for a junior position
• Experience at a sell-side financial institution is an advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of assigned responsibilities
• Strong communication skills and a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Mandarin is essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• A collaborative team player who can work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment under pressure
