  • Manage grant servicing from award through closeout, coordinating required reports, renewals, amendments, funder communications, and other deliverables with the responsible departments.
  • Partner with Finance to monitor grant budgets, expenditures, revenue, receivables, reimbursement requirements, and variances. Identify concerns and recommend corrective action to the CFO.
  • Maintain accurate grant records and tracking tools, and coordinate documentation for funder monitoring, audits, and government reviews.
  • Protect confidential financial, employee, participant, and organizational information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience in grant writing, grant administration, nonprofit development, contract management, nonprofit finance, or a related field, with responsibility for managing multiple funding projects or submissions.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify funding opportunities, evaluate eligibility and risks, develop persuasive proposals, and oversee grant reporting and compliance.
  • Ability to interpret funding guidelines, agreements, budgets, and reporting requirements, exercise independent judgment, and make well-supported recommendations to leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines across multiple funding sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Finance, program leaders, funders, and external auditors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with grant-tracking, donor, accounting, or financial systems; ability to maintain accurate records and safeguard confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A record of leading grant development and managing a portfolio of funding sources for a nonprofit organization.
  • Experience managing government grants and contracts at the federal, state, county, or city level.

  • Demonstrated success in developing grant proposals and overseeing reports, renewals, budget modifications, reimbursement requests, and other funder submissions.
  • Experience using accounting software, grant-management platforms, or donor databases to track funding and report on results.
