What they need

Make a Real Difference. Every Day.

At Fight Parkinson's, we believe in a future free from Parkinson's. We're a passionate not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering people living with Parkinson's, their families, and carers — through specialist support, education, advocacy, and world-class research.

We're looking for a warm, detail-driven Fundraising Officer to join our team and play a meaningful role in sustaining the work that truly changes lives.

This is more than an admin role — it's a relationship role. You'll be the heartbeat of our donor experience, ensuring every gift is processed with care, every donor feels valued, and every community fundraiser feels celebrated and supported.

You'll bring accuracy, empathy, and energy to a small but mighty fundraising team, contributing directly to our financial sustainability and mission impact.

What You'll Be Doing

Donation Processing & Administration

-       Process donations and gifts with accuracy and warmth

-       Prepare banking documentation and maintain organised filing systems

-       Support regular giving programs — including donor updates and stewardship

-       Administer bequest documentation and maintain the bequest inbox

-       Handle fundraising phone enquiries with professionalism and care

Community Fundraising Support

-       Steward and celebrate community fundraisers — from setting up online pages to issuing certificates

-       Coordinate authorities to fundraise, provide collateral, and identify inspiring donor stories

-       Maintain accurate fundraising records and create meaningful engagement opportunities

Membership Coordination

-       Process membership applications, renewals, and updates

-       Maintain membership records and respond to member enquiries with care and efficiency

General Support

-       Provide backup support for Office and Events Administrator functions

-       Participate in Fight Parkinson's events and awareness activities

-       Contribute to risk monitoring and reporting in line with organisational policy

What We're Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

-       Certificate or Diploma in Fundraising, Administration, Business, or a related field

-       Minimum 2 years' experience in fundraising administration, donor processing, or not-for-profit support

-       Proficiency with CRM systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics highly regarded)

-       Demonstrated experience in donation processing, financial administration, and donor stewardship

Skills & Attributes

-       Outstanding attention to detail and data accuracy

-       Excellent time management and organisational skills

-       Empathetic, donor-focused communication style

-       Ability to build genuine rapport with donors, members, and community fundraisers

-       Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information

-       A collaborative team player who brings initiative and problem-solving energy

Why Join Fight Parkinson's?

-       Meaningful work — your efforts directly support people living with Parkinson's

-       Work-life balance — we're a flexible and genuinely supportive workplace

-       Part-time hours — 0.8 EFT across Monday to Friday (9am–5pm)

-       Hybrid flexibility — primarily office-based with occasional work-from-home

-       Inclusive culture — guided by our values of Inclusion, Leadership, Innovation, Courage, and Integrity

Conditions of Employment

-       Pre-Employment Checks

-       Police Check

-       Australian Driver's Licence
