About the Role

South Spring Development Corporation is looking for a compassionate, highly organized, and professional Funeral Director to oversee funeral service operations and ensure that families receive respectful, efficient, and dignified assistance during times of loss.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day funeral arrangements, coordinating with families and service providers, supervising funeral personnel, and ensuring that all services are carried out professionally and in accordance with company standards and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate funeral arrangements from initial family consultation through the completion of services.
• Provide compassionate and professional assistance to bereaved families while understanding and responding to their needs.
• Coordinate viewing, wake, funeral, burial, cremation, and related services.
• Supervise and coordinate funeral service staff, drivers, coordinators, and other personnel.
• Coordinate with churches, cemeteries, crematoriums, hospitals, government offices, and other relevant service providers.
• Ensure proper handling, preparation, transportation, and documentation related to the deceased.
• Oversee the setup and execution of funeral services, ensuring that all arrangements are completed properly and on schedule.
• Maintain accurate records, service documentation, and required permits.
• Address client concerns and resolve operational issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, health and safety requirements, and company policies.
• Assist in improving funeral service procedures, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties related to funeral service operations as may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Management, Social Sciences, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in funeral services, mortuary operations, hospitality, customer service, healthcare, or related industries is an advantage.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, respectful, and professional when dealing with grieving families.
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple services or arrangements simultaneously.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and on-call schedules when required.
• Willing to work in Santa Rosa, Laguna and travel to nearby locations when necessary.
• Valid driver's license is an advantage.
