JOB VACANCY: FURNITURE DESIGN ARCHITECT

Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Furniture Design Architect to develop innovative, functional, and aesthetically appealing furniture designs for residential, commercial, and corporate clients. The ideal candidate must be able to translate client requirements into detailed technical drawings and production-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop innovative furniture designs, concepts, and layouts based on client requirements.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications for production.
• Use design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or other relevant CAD tools.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, colours, fittings, and construction methods.
• Collaborate with production teams and CNC machine operators to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Prepare cutting lists, material specifications, and detailed measurements.
• Create realistic 3D renders and visual presentations for clients.
• Review prototypes and finished products to ensure they match approved designs.
• Recommend design improvements to optimise material usage, functionality, cost, and production efficiency.
• Keep up with furniture design trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques.

Requirements

• BSc/HND in Architecture, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ relevant experience in furniture design or furniture manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3D visualisation software.
• Good understanding of furniture materials, joinery, fittings, finishing, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of CNC production requirements and CAD/CAM workflows is an added advantage.
• Strong creativity, technical drawing skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Applicants must be able to provide a portfolio of previous furniture design projects.

Pay: ₦300,000.00 per month
